In Fallout 4, armor can be modified using junk components. Anyone can create new base-level modifications, remove any existing modifications from armor, and apply any player character-owned modifications to armor. The Armorer perk is required for creating new modifications of level 1 and above.

Power armorEdit
One can add and remove mods from the power armor frame at a power armor station. Modding the armor can increase its Damage Resistance, change paint materials, improve core efficiency, or add bonus stats and effects.

Shielding & PaintEdit
Note: Not all paint jobs are available on all parts.
Each part of the power armor can be painted or shielded separately. Paint jobs however only have an effect when the entire armor is painted in the same scheme, while shield coatings are effective per separate armor part and don't require a full set.As a general rule: paint, besides modifying the statistics of your armor, also adds a cosmetic effect to the power armor. While shield coatings on the other hand leave the appearance of an armor unchanged (winterized coating being the exception in this)
Certain paint schemes and shields are limited to specific power armor models, while others are available for all power armors. Raider power armor cannot be painted or shielded at all.Painting does not require any materials with the exception of Vault-Tec paint and Military paint.
Shielding/Coating/PlatingEdit
Paint schemesEdit
For paints that require all pieces to be painted to grant a SPECIAL bonus, as long as all parts have the same stat boosted, they can be mixed without limit.
BOS Knight paint (described in-game as 'BOS II')
BOS Paladin paint (described in-game as 'BOS V')
BOS Sentinel paint (described in-game as 'BOS VI')
Armored clothingEdit
Many articles of clothing can have damage and energy resistance added at an armor workbench. See ballistic weave for details.
NotesEdit
Opinions about Fallout 4 may be as sprawling and changeable as the Commonwealth wasteland, but most people agree that the new dialogue system leaves something to be desired. Fortunately, there’s a mod for that.
With their newest game, developer Bethesda decided to change the dialogue system they’d used in previous games like Skyrim and Fallout 3. Instead of a silent protagonist who would “speak” specific lines of dialogue chosen from a list, your Fallout 4 protagonist is voiced by an actual actor who says pre-recorded lines that you choose by picking one of four short, paraphrased summaries.
The new system borrows from BioWare games like Mass Effect, and its effectiveness is uneven. As Patricia noted in her review, it creates a layer of abstraction that further removes the player from their on-screen avatar. For my part, I mostly just don’t like how the prompts are so inconsistent and confusingly arranged, and how they often leave conversations feeling like a crapshoot.

Shortly after Fallout 4 came out, several PC modders took a crack at changing the dialogue back to a 1:1 system like in previous Bethesda games. Today, Cirosan and Shadwar’s “Full Dialogue Interface” (FDI) mod is one of the most popular mods on the Fallout 4 nexus. The FDI mod is an ingenious bit of programming that (educated guess) replaces those on-screen paraphrases with text from the game’s subtitles, which immediately swaps every dialogue option with the actual words your character is going to say.
Here’s what a conversation with a Brotherhood of Steel brat looks like without the mod:

And here’s the conversation with the mod installed:

I’ve been using the FDI mod for the last couple of days, and I like it even more than I was expecting to. My dialogue choices now look like these:

When I started using the mod, I was surprised at just how nice it felt to know exactly what my character was going to say at a given juncture. The mod has also been interesting in how it often exposes how empty some of Fallout 4’s dialogue “options” are:
Often, I’ll be presented with a set of options like the one above, or this one:
Which do I choose? San andreas multiplayer download mediafire. Three of them are basically the same. Is one considered rude or curt? Is another one more agreeable? Will the question still advance the conversation? Does any of this matter at all? (In terms of whether or not it affects the outcome of a given conversation, no, it generally doesn’t matter. In terms of how I’m role-playing my character, it actually matters more than I thought it would.)
That kind of silly false choice doesn’t happen as often as I’d worried it might, however, and by and large dialogue is more like this:
A handful of options, each somewhat different, each letting me role-play a conversation in a slightly different way. The mod doesn’t change the fact that most options lead to the same endpoint, nor does it address the annoying way that some “question” options will advance or end a conversation without letting you circle back to other topics, but it’s still a big improvement.
Even when I’m choosing between minor variations on the same sentence, I’m glad to know precisely what my character is going to say before she says it. It may seem like a small thing, but as it turns out, it isn’t.

Nanosuit Color Changer
Newest version 1.3. Re-Download suggested.
Thanks to some excellent guidance from VlitS, I was able to change the file so that only sex-appropriate color change options show in armor workbench armor modifications choices. Everything else is the same as 1.21, so you really only need 1.3 if seeing suit-color options for the opposite sex bothers you.
COLOR CHANGE and GLOW OPTIONS NOW WORKING
4 colors: Black, Green, Red, and White (based on Vasstek’s original texture 5 glow options: No Glow (color only), Blue, Fuchsia, Red, White Vanilla and AWKCR/Armorsmith Extended versions FORMLIST KEYWORD CAP ISSUE FOR CRAFTING MENUS: please note that this mod adds 4 custom kewords to implement color changing. If you use a large number of keyword-dependent mods this may push you toward or over the keyword cap. For a more complete & more informed discussion of keyword issues related to clothing/armor and weapon mods, check out the sticky post “IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING THE FORMLIST CAP BUG” in the discussion for Gambit’s Armorsmith Extended mod.
This is NOT a standalone mod. This is a COLOR CHANGER
This mod requires NANOSUIT 4.1 by Vasstek. Get it, get it now, how can you live without it, it’s a great mod. All of the creative work, design, texturing and so on were done by Vasstek. NOTE: This mod is not designed for the updated Nanosuit 5.0. Such a mod may come to pass, but it depends on my other time commitments because color changers are a time sink.
What does this mod do? This mod removes the dilemma of having to choose just one of Vasstek’s brilliant textures for the Nanosuit, Nanogloves, and Nanohelmet.
immersive color selection for Nanosuit, Nanogloves, and Nanohelmet supports male and female Nanosuits Two versions 1) Vanilla version – 100% vanilla keywords 2) AWKCR (1.71) and Armorsmith Extended (2.71) compatible Requires both AWKCR & AE if you want to use this version. I didn’t make separate AWKCR & AE versions because frankly it was easier for me. Also, this way my mod plays nice with Gambit’s Armorsmith Prototypes Extended (which I can’t recommend enough). If anyone want to separate these they are welcome to do so.
This mod almost does for the Nanosuit what Kerrigan Bodysuit Color Changer did for the Kerrigan Bodysuit. Without these mods, my own mod would never have been born. I say almost because I haven’t finished adding all the options.
While this mod works, it is very basic and is still very much a WIP. This version of the mod is strictly VANILLA. It does not change any of the stats from Vasstek’s original mod. The Nanosuit, Nanogloves, and Nanohelmet remain craftable at the chemistry station. Crafting recipes and requirements and additional armor addons from Vasstek’s original mod have not been touched. You must install the original mod if you want anything to appear/work.
Additions: This mod adds the ability to dynamically change the color of the Nano suit, gloves, and helmet in game by adding new armor modifications which can be constructed/applied at the vanilla armor workbench. These have the extremely creative names in the form of “Item name color glow option”. Unfortunately item names do not yet dynamically change when my color changing mods are applied.
**NOTE: there are actually TWO color change options for the Nanosuit – one for males and one for females. You will see both when modding the Nanosuit at the armor workbench. Be sure to choose the correct option for your character’s sex. If your suit fails to change after you’ve applied a color change, you probably selected the option for the wrong sex.
Installation:
1. Download and install Nanosuit 4.1 Standalone Full package FOMOD and install normally. Be sure to select the Nanohelmet as well. It is required for the color changer and you will CTD if you forget. I suggest installing black as the default for both the suit and helmet, but it doesn’t really matter (now that I fixed the missing black version). 1b. If using the AWKCR & AE version, be sure you have the most recent versions of these mods installed and active or you will crash. 2. Download and install my color changer mod. Recommended to install with NMM. When asked, allow the the color changer to overwrite files from Vasstek’s mod (no worries, the overwrites are the exact same files, just included with this mod because it was easier for me).
Aesthetic Issyes:
1. There are small colored portions of all suits that DO NOT CHANGE when you change the glow – this is part of Vasstek’s original textures and I didn’t change it. 2. There is some minor clipping of the gloves into/thru the sleeves which is only noticeable for certain combinations when you use different color suits and gloves. This is part of the original mod that was never an issue previously because it wasn’t originally designed to be mix and match.
FYI Note:
My mod includes all of the resources (meshes, textures, materials) that Vasstek used in the original mod as well as (removed in current version) additional textures and materials files. Additional files are not used (yet). They are for as/when I expend color/glow selections. If you really want, you can delete these extra textures and materials files, just be sure you know what you’re doing.
Plans:
The following are in the works – AWKCR & Armorsmith Extended comparability versions — working, at least for the basic 4 colors and 4 glows – craftable glow options for the Nanosuit, gloves, and helmet — working, 4 glows, more to come – adding additional color options for Nanosuit, gloves, and helmet – videos – NOT in the works: Project Commonwealth. This mod looks amazing, but I haven’t had any time to play with it. If anyone wants to make a version/patch of my mod for P.Comm. just let me know and more power to you (probably you want to contact Vasstek also).
CREDITS:

F.A.Q.(ish)
How was it done? Everything was done with blood, sweat, tears, TONS of swearing, more tears, and oh yeah, FO4edit (thanks to that team as well).
Why?
Because I’ve been a Nexus Mods leech since Skyrim and thought I should give something back beside semi-useful comments on other (mods creative) peoples’ mods.
Still why?
Because I’m trying to learn the tools. I don’t (yet?) have the skills for creating or editing meshes. I can do re-textures and I’m getting fairly good at troubleshooting things so the play well together, so I’ll give it a go.
Even more why?
Because I couldn’t be arsed to choose just one color for these beautifully crafted pieces and I saw that others felt the same way.
How fast will new additions and/or versions be uploaded? How frequently do you check your comments, bugs, messages, etc.
Well, I’m a husband, and a father, and a grad student in a non-computer, non-graphic related field, and I probably shouldn’t even be working on this or playing Fallout, or writing long, half-serious FAQs, so I might be slow – but I’ll try to at least check in every few days (even if I’m not uploading anything new). And, if my experience with this mod proves anything, I’m also prone to accidentally delete files and have to recreate them.
A real question – will this work with mod XYZ?
Short answer ??? Long answer ????????????????????????????????????????????????????? Basically, I’m not sure. I use a feckin ton of mods, which I change on the regular, and it works for me. It uses all vanilla keywords, so there’s that. When I finish the AWKCR &/or AE versions comparability should be extended.
Brain dead now . . . If any addition questions pop up regularly, I’ll add them here.
If you're looking to change your gameplay experience with the best Fallout 4 mods available on Xbox One, PS4, and PC then you've come to the right place, as we love a good mod. There are plenty of ways to customise the post-apocalyptic world to better suit your needs, so if you want to build improbably big settlements, have Dogmeat by your side along with a regular companion, or just make the wasteland look a bit less like.. waste, then these mods are the perfect excuse to delve back in to Fallout 4.
The best news is that as well as being available on PC, almost all of these Fallout 4 mods can also be added to the PS4 and Xbox One versions of the game, meaning console players can get involved and are no longer excluded from the customisation party. There's good reasons why Fallout 4 is one of the best RPG games around, but let's make it even better. For Xbox One and PS4 we've provided links to the Bethesda mods website, and for PC you'll be sent to NexusMods. Happy modding!
SimpleSeasonsFallout 4 Best Mods Pc
Despite the bursts of colour occasionally seen in Fallout 4, you can't deny that eventually you'll get fed up with the dreary yellows and browns of the wasteland. SimpleSeasons changes all that by turning the apocalyptic world into a feast for the eyes (but not the senses, which anyone with hayfever will be happy to hear). These four mods - you don't have to download them all if you don't want to, by the way - will either blanket the wasteland in snow, have lush greenery springing up, turn everything into a haze of oranges and yellows, or create verdant trees that are just beginning to turn yellow. Now if only there was a photo mode to capture all that beauty..
Everyone's Best Friend (Dogmeat + Companion At Same Time)
Dogmeat is a peculiar companion. There's no denying that He's A Very Good Boy, Yes He Is, but a number of companion perks don't affect to him: Live and Love doesn't apply to the doggo, and he doesn't disable Lone Wanderer perk benefits. This mod allows you to have Dogmeat and another companion simultaneously. Safety in numbers, right? Because you can't use external assets on the PS4, this mod isn't available for anyone with Sony's console. Bad Sony.
Stronger Dogmeat
Vanilla Fallout 4 has Dogmeat doing 1-2dps when he attacks the various nuisances corrupting the wasteland. As anyone with a fondness for the loyal companion will know, that doesn't really seem fair. In case you haven't guessed it yet, Stronger Dogmeat increases his damage to 58dps, making this canine deadly enough to send any raiders fleeing with their tails between their legs.
Any Mod Any Weapon
Forget the weapon crafting limitations of the base game, the Any Mod Any Weapon mod lets your imagination run wild when you're at the workbench. Ever want to shoot cannon balls out of a hand-held revolver, create an electrified mini gun, or shove a Deathclaw's claw onto a boxing glove? All possible with this mod.
OCDecorator
Finally, you can do what your mother always told you to and pick up after yourself. The OCDecorator mod enables you to place any object on any other object, so placing weapons and armor on shelves or office fans on desks is no longer a pain in the ass. Now you can have everything in your settlement neatly organized, locked in place, and perfectly displayed instead of having everything getting knocked over by NPCs and ending up in a pile on the floor.
Place Anywhere/Everywhere
Fallout 4's vanilla settlement editor isn't the best. Walls don't always line up, you get items and furniture that just can't be placed where you want, and you end up with some unsightly gaps in your decorative structures (and even worse, defenses). The Place Anywhere/Everywhere mod allows you to clip into other objects so you can fit everything together neatly. No more gaps, no more mess.
No Build Limit
Of course, even if you use the previous two mods to stack objects on top of each other and clip them into otherwise unobtainable places, you'll still eventually run up against the Build Limit for your settlement and have to curb your design plans. Unless you install this mod, that is, as it removes the Build Limit for all settlements - use with caution though, as those limits are there for a reason and you could slow down or crash your game if you go too far.
Legendary Modifications
If you're looking for your weapons to pack a bit more punch, you might want to check out the Legendary Modifications mod. This mod adds a new modification slot to your weapon and armor crafting options, allowing you to include one legendary weapon or armor attribute to your item in exchange for a significant amount of materials. You can choose from a list of every attribute available in the game, giving you everything you need to make an unstoppable wasteland explorer.
Craftable Ammo
The Craftable Ammo mod adds even more crafting to the expansive build-fest that is Fallout 4, but we have no problem with that. The mod includes a new crafting table called the Reloading Workbench, allowing you to take materials and fill your ammo stores with plenty of bullets and bombs. No need to wander the radioactive wilderness looting bodies and checking drawers for forgotten ammo. Just get crafting and make it all yourself.
Fallout 4 Nanosuit ModInfinite ammo for your companion
The trouble with giving your companion a weapon other than their default choice is that they love to burn through your ammo. The Infinite ammo mod solves that problem. As long as your companion has one round of ammo for their respective weapon in their inventory, they can fire forever - except the Fat Man mini nuke launcher, because, well, that could create a disastrous situation.
Armorsmith Extended
If you're a bit of a fashionista in Fallout 4, you're going to want to download the Armorsmith Extended mod, which adds a new Armorsmith crafting table that allows you to make clothes and armor, lets you wear gas masks and bandanas under more hats, and lets you upgrade every piece of clothing and armor. Really, it just makes every piece of clothing and armor more valuable, which is definitely a good thing. Vin number check free online europe. Unfortunately it's not on PS4, but Unified Clothing Overhaul is a super replacement - you just have to make sure Armor and Weapon Keywords Community Resource is installed first.
Settlement Supplies Expanded
The standard Fallout 4 set of structures, furniture, and objects you can build and place into your settlement is pretty limited, but when you add Settlement Supplies Expanded, there is a much larger selection. With the mod installed, you'll find hundreds of new objects to add into your virtual home. The new items include everything from vault doors and barbed wire concrete walls to trees and even aircraft.
Full Dialogue Interface
When conversing with other characters in Fallout 4, sometimes your character can just say the darndest things. Using the default paraphrased dialogue options doesn't always clearly convey how your character will respond with that choice. With the Full Dialogue Interface mod, you take out all of that guesswork. The entire response is written out on the dialogue option, which might help your conversations go the way you intend them to. Because Sony don't let their modders use external assets (thanks, Sony), this mod isn't going to appear on PS4 for the foreseeable future. Damn.
Lowered Weapons
This is more of a personal preference, but it always bothers me when my character is always pointing his or her gun forward. Lowered Weapons makes your character's weapon handling a bit safer for those around them. Whenever the weapon isn't being aimed or fired, the firearm is lowered to a less aggressive position. It's all about gun safety, people. If you aren't careful, you'll put someone's eye out. As is the case with the Full Dialogue Interface, Lowered Weapons uses external assets so can't be ported to PS4. Yeah, I'm disappointed too.
Better Graphics And Weather
If you're fed up with seeing the same views as you explore the post-apocalyptic wasteland, then this mod can help you with a change of scenery. With subtle adjustments to the weather and lighting effects, your outlook on the world can be updated and refreshed.
